What the current site uses
The Zykken website code does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not install tracking pixels. It uses one sessionStorage entry to remember that the greeting intro has already been shown in the current tab. Browser storage and cookies are different technologies, but both deserve a clear explanation.
Greeting preference
The entry is named zykken_greeting_boot_v3. Its value records that the intro has been shown or dismissed, so a later page visit in the same tab can show a shorter welcome. It contains no name, email, project message or cross-site identifier. The page code does not send this preference to Zykken. It is normally limited to the tab session; browser session-restoration settings can affect when it is cleared.
Hosting and external services
Vercel may use technical request data and protective technologies as part of hosting and security. These are governed by the hosting service and configuration. Visiting an external provider link takes you to that provider’s site, whose cookie and privacy rules apply there. Sending an enquiry uses the contact endpoint and email delivery provider; it does not require an advertising tracker.
Your browser choices
You can clear this site’s browser data or block browser storage using your browser controls. Clearing the preference causes the next visit to use the full intro again. If storage is blocked, the website remains readable and you can still skip the intro. The site also respects your device’s reduced-motion preference.
Changes to storage use
If optional analytics, advertising or embedded tools are introduced, this policy and the relevant privacy information must be updated, and required choices must be provided before those technologies run. For a question about the current site, contact info@zykken.com.
